Matthew A. Schaefer

Mr. Schaefer has been a Partner at Fairview Capital since joining the firm in 1999. Prior to Fairview, Mr. Schaefer was Vice President and Treasurer of Bigler Investment Management Company, Inc. He was also a senior manager in the M&A and tax practices of Arthur Andersen LLP.

Mr. Schaefer is a member of the advisory boards of partnerships sponsored by Ampersand Ventures, Bridgescale Partners, Domain Associates, Emergence Capital Partners and Morgenthaler Ventures, among others. He is also a member of the board of the University of Connecticut R&D Corporation and is a past director of the National Association of Investment Companies. He currently serves as a trustee of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and is a past member of the board of the Make A Wish Foundation of Connecticut.

Mr. Schaefer holds a B.A. from The College of the Holy Cross and is a certified public accountant.
