Fairview Capital Partners Inc. is an independent private equity investment management organization with $3.3 billion of capital under management. Founded in 1994, Fairview’s long-standing mission has been to provide institutional investors with superior risk-adjusted returns in private equity and the highest quality client service in the asset class.

Fairview’s investment process is supported by rigorous research. The investment team strives to constantly remain ahead of industry trends through activities such as interactions with business thought leaders, participation in leading industry organizations, and the analysis of industry data and publications. More formally, research on areas of acute importance is conducted internally utilizing a top down approach. This broad and continuous examination of market landscapes ensures Fairview has the most complete information available, and that market shifts are identified ahead of the curve.
Fairview shares research in the form of commentary on the private equity market place highlighting trends in specific segments of the industry, as well as more focused technology or trend analyses. Further, customized research can be provided to clients addressing areas of strategic importance.
Fairview’s investment team brings extensive experience in private equity investment management. Collectively, the team has identified and invested in more than 200 private market partnerships.
The selection and due diligence process employed by Fairview has resulted in the identification and backing of funds that have proven, or are poised for, enduring success. The investment team conducts a comprehensive analysis of every partnership investment under consideration, whether or not it is a new relationship. From a quantitative perspective, a solid track record is a prerequisite in our selection process; however, qualitative attributes of the partnership team can often prove paramount and therefore attributes such as integrity, coherence, meritocracy and ability to execute are meticulously examined.

Fairview utilizes its time tested approach to portfolio construction and management to develop attractive fund of funds portfolios diversified along several dimensions. Our industry knowledge, coupled with the team’s well-grounded efforts in macro and fundamental research give us an edge in building portfolios that can achieve various risk / return mandates.
At the fundamental level, each portfolio is diversified across several dimensions to mitigate risk and dampen volatility. In addition, to achieve additional alpha for our clients, specialized strategies can be employed, including direct co-investments and secondary opportunities.
Each partnership Fairview commits to is continually monitored for adherence to stated strategies, investment guidelines and other agreements. Monitoring is critical in assessing the progress of each investment and provides the foresight necessary to identify and address any potential issues at an early stage. Monitoring is accomplished through a variety of activities and interactions, including active participation on fund advisory boards.
